Consider Butterworth Center,  a spacious Victorian mansion in the heart of Moline, home over a century ago to Katherine (Deere) and William Butterworth. Their home—once called Hillcrest and now known as Butterworth Center—was used frequently by the couple for entertaining business clients as the farm implement company grew under William’s leadership. Combining the beauty of history with the conveniences of a modern venue, Butterworth Center accommodates up to 80 people on the main floor. Indoor event space may be reserved for a Thursday or Friday evening. For an additional fee, an adjoining outdoor space is available.
