Gardens
Deere-Wiman House grounds feature seven acres feature meticulously-groomed formal gardens and walkways. The Butterworth Center gardens feature pathways that wind past a fountain, through a large pergola, and into a charming gazebo. Visitors may still wander the lush grounds among countless species of labeled plants.

Garden Maintenance (beginning mid-May) Weeding, watering, planting, etc. Background in science, horticulture, garden history is helpful.
Visitor interpretation
Answer visitor questions outside in the gardens during special events and scheduled days. Knowledge of plants and gardening experience is helpful. Background in science, horticulture, garden history is helpful.
