Literary Arts Exhibit
About 400 written works from Moline School District elementary students were on display at Butterworth Center during a reception for participating students and familes. Teachers selected works to be exhibited and each child whose work is entered will receive a medal of participation and free book. Butterworth Center also awards each school's library/media center a $100 stipend. This exhibit is a partnership between Butterworth Center and the Moline School District.

An Exhibition of Student Artwork
Each year, nearly a thousand pieces of Moline School District elementary students’ artwork ranging from Monet replicas to Native American crafts grace three floors of the 25,000 square foot historic home Elementary schools in the Moline School District have partnered with Butterworth Center for the “Exhibition of Student Artwork.” Butterworth Center will donate also donate a $100 stipend to each of the schools to help purchase classroom art supplies. |
Brinton Art Competition
The Brinton Art Competition honors Mary Jane (William) Brinton, great-great granddaughter of John Deere, and a long-time supporter of the arts. Art instructors from a Moline middle or high school submit pieces of student artwork. Cash prizes are awarded to best of class and honorable mention for each grade bracket. |
